- On 22th Oct 1992 at noon, a ship in DR posn 13⁰ 35’ S ; 122⁰ 56’E, set courses as follows:-

Find :-
- Course and Distance made good from noon to noon.
- Find the set and drift if the observed position on 23rd N/N was 14⁰4’ S ; 128⁰ 22.2’E.

- Sun’s UL sext alt. 35⁰1’; IE 1.0’ on the arc: HE 12.8 mtrs on 14th Oct 1992.
- Star Capella sext alt. 23⁰7: IE 1.2’ off the arc: HE 11.0 mtrs on 17th Oct 1992.
