If restricted visibility is encountered on suspected the OOW should
- Inform the Master about the condition.
- Exhibit navigational light.
- Commence sound signal.
- Engine to standby.
- Reduced to safe speed.
- Radar operational.
- Commence radar plotting.
- Engage in manual steering.
- Close watertight doors.
